VEMCO Virtual CNC Machine Trainer
High-Fidelity Industrial Simulation for Technical Education
The VEMCO Virtual CNC Machine Trainer is a robust, floor-mounted educational system designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and shop-floor practice. By integrating authentic industrial hardware with a sophisticated 3D virtual environment, it provides students and trainers with a risk-free, immersive machining experience.
Core System Architecture
Dual-Screen Interface: Features a massive Large Size smart Interactive Touch Flat Panel for real-time 3D machine visualization, paired with a dedicated 7-inch TFT screen integrated into the hardware control panel for status and diagnostics.
True Hardware Integration: Unlike software-only solutions, VEMCO utilizes a physical Machine Control Panel (MCP). This includes tactile knobs, function keys, and emergency buttons—onscreen or digitizer-based controls are not used, ensuring students develop real muscle memory.
Multi-Controller Versatility: The system is configurable with industry-standard control logic. Choose from
- o Fanuc (Turn + Mill)
- o Siemens (Turn + Mill)
- o Heidenhain (up to 5-Axis Milling)
Technical Specifications & Features
Authentic Hardware Control
- Operation Modes: Fully functional keys for REF, AUTO, EDIT, MDI, JOG, and MPG
- Manual Pulse Generator (MPG): Includes a physical handwheel for precise axis movement.
- Physical Overrides: Dedicated feed rate override knob and spindle speed adjustment keys.
- Safety & Execution: Industrial-grade Emergency Stop, Edit Lock, Cycle Start/Stop, and Reset keys.
- Tooling & Spindle: Physical controls for spindle start/stop, coolant on/off, and tool change sequences.
High-Fidelity 3D Simulation
- Realistic Environment: 3D graphics with full rotation, zoom, and pan capabilities. Includes realistic machining sounds and visual effects like coolant flow and chip evacuation.
- Advanced Kinematics: * Supports 2-Axis (X, Z) for Turning. Supports 3-Axis to 5-Axis for Milling (depending on controller selection).
- Industrial Logic: Simulates G-codes, M-codes, canned cycles, and subprograms.
- Operational Setup: Students must perform part mounting, tool offset calibration, and work offset settings exactly as they would in a factory setting.
Intelligent Safety & Configuration
- Collision Detection: Real-time alarms for tool collisions, axis over-travel, and safety violations (e.g., attempting a cycle start with the virtual door open).
- Configurable Tooling: Virtual lathes and mills can be configured with different turret capacities and tool libraries (Turning, Milling, Threading, and Drilling).
